One such friend designs beads that are nothing less than breath-taking. She envisions, then, magically, produces, baubles that are stunning alone and collectively. But when she takes these beads and creates jewelry, it is even more amazing. Every piece is unique, lovely, and often made to individual requests.
This friend is not just talented...she is generous. At a recent holiday luncheon, she gave a necklace to each of the friends there...designed specifically for them! The recipients were thrilled.
For some quirky reason, I prefer not to wear jewelry other than my mother's ring and my wedding ring. So, this friend made a sparkling, jeweled bookmark for me! She knows my love of a good read and a good twinkle, but understands my dislike of wearing jewelry. These pictures do little justice to her beautiful work... The lovely bookmark sparkles on our Christmas tree!
The luncheon where these incredible gifts were shared was at the home of another gifted and talented friend. She hosted not one, but two, lovely bridge parties back-to-back, including lunch both days! She makes it look easy...and does it while visiting foreign countries, undergoing surgery, hosting additional family for months, selling out-of-state properties, dealing with loss of a mother-in-law, and sharing one car with three adults. And this all speaks to her other great gift - organization!
My gift? Surrounding myself with amazing friends...
