This and that

Collecting eggs every day is such a joy!  And production lags only if it's blistering hot or molting time or days are extremely short.  Most chixxx offer a lovely gift every 24 hours or so.  These presents come in a variety of colors, textures, and sizes, not unlike the producers. The colors range from pale shades of blue and green to a full range of tans, beiges, creams and snowy whites.  A couple of the girls deliver these stunningly beautiful ovals with deep tan color fading to a beautiful cream... 

And there's a bonus...the larger end has freckles!

Eggs may have sharply pointed tips or gently rounded ends. The ovals are fat and squatty or tall and slim. Some eggs have tiny trails of shell powder sprinkled on the outside; other shells are smooth as silk.  Still others...orange peel-esque. There are big eggs, tiny eggs, medium eggs.  Variety continues inside with yolks ranging from brightest yellow to deepest orange.  And always, this lovely yolk is held firmly aloft by the albumen...a tiny offering.
