Shuhvundah, 2012

Another Shuhvundah has come and gone.  We laughed and ate and drank and swapped gifts 'til the cows came home.  Only one gift made a reappearance from Shuhvundah, 2011. Pat recognized it immediately, and was less than thrilled.
Say it isn't so...
This will return in 2013!
Barbara's gift choice was a mystery...a robe?  a shawl?  a blanket?
Ouida solved the mystery...then the puzzle was how to get OUT!
Some of the gifts were more sought after. Phyllis was thrilled with her scarf...
but that joy was short-lived.  Connie stole it briefly, then Bette wore it home.  Judi was delighted with her bottle of port...
and her bff did not 'steal' it. Connie didn't hesitate however, and probably enjoyed port after dinner!  Nell liked the cute watering can in her chosen gift bag, but after a couple of swaps, it went home with Judy.
And while I tried and tried to entice someone to 'steal' my gift, there were no takers.  I fully understand...
We had lots of laughs and surprises, and from the grins on these faces, lots of fun...
My dearest friends from Austin drove up for Shuhvundah again this year.  My history with these women covers shared adventures, escapades, heart-aches, and fun.  This gathering was especially poignant for us, because Barbara (far right in the photo) suffered a stroke a couple of weeks ago.  Only quick-thinking and a miracle enabled her to recover quickly and completely. We are truly grateful...
The Mosaics welcome 2012!
